May Update - Waitak Wasp Wipe out
Wishing our Trappers a Happy Mother's Day. Do something special for the ladies in your life and check the traps for them!
We expect wasp activity to start lowering as we get into the colder weather but are also hopeful that with the colder weather and lowering of natural food source availability that those baits stations will get a last-minute rush and wipe out a few more!
If your taking part in our Waitak Wasp Wipe Out Campaign, we would love to hear about your results, observations and see any pictures you might have captured over the season! email to us @ [email protected] - Special Mention to our Trapper Gayle and the collection of wasp nests she removed from her property!
What are Pests doing in the month of May?
Possum Breeding period is ending; juveniles will be dispersing into to new areas
Fruiting trees still at risk of predation, keep checking traps/bait stations
Rodent populations increase exponentially. Good time to pulse bait.
Cooler weather starts to bring rodents inside houses and buildings. Set up traps and bait stations inside in anticipation.
